⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing food and great service! We ordered two rotisserie chicken meals with rice and the red sauce, and everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor, the rice was excellent, and the red sauce was incredible. We also dipped the fresh naan bread into the red sauce, and when you eat the naan, chicken, rice, and sauce together, the flavors are even better. Everything tasted authentic and fresh. We'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this place! 😋🍗🍛

I’m a happy camper when an Indian/South Asian restaurant both has amazing food AND plays songs from movies I love, like this restaurant, House of India! I ordered the vegetarian samosa, lamb keema naan, lamb vindaloo, mango lassi, kheer, and gulab jamun! I admit that I was pretty scared that this restaurant wouldn’t taste authentic since it’s in a part of Illinois that doesn’t have too many (South) Asians and would be sketchy since they have slots in the restaurant, but I’m glad that my fears were unfounded! Not only was this one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in my two years of checking out Indian restaurants across the country, but the workers here are also super friendly and the service was super quick! The samosa has a nice outside, just the perfect level of crunch and not oily at all, and a nice inside, as it tastes pleasant. The two chutneys are also flavorful, but not as spicy as I’ve come to like for chutneys. The lamb vindaloo’s rather spicy, since I requested their spiciest level, and it made me happy that both the vindaloo itself has so much flavor and the meat’s tender and juicy. We have been going to House of India since the 1990's. The food is consistently excellent. This is a family run business and they are very professional.

Good fish. Excellent garlic naan. Cucumber yogurt dish on the thick side and could use more cucumbers. Would like to try other dishes soon.

All of the food was phenomenal! It was PACKED with flavor and the perfect amount of spice. I recommend the chili paneer as an appetizer, and chana masala with garlic naan for the entree. The service was great and staff was very friendly! My favorite restaurant in Rockford.
